Yes - A visa is required for travel to Canada

Temporary Entry Suspension: Please be advised that Canada has suspended entry for all nationalities until further notice. This does not apply to citizens and residents of Canada or immediate family members of the latter. This is a rapidly changing situation. Travisa is monitoring the situation closely so check our website for updates.

Business travelers from visa-exempt countries who fly to Canada require an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). Because the Canadian eTA is issued electronically, you will not receive any document in the mail, you will receive notice of your approval via email.

In addition to the eTA, business travelers should be prepared to show the following documents upon request at the border.

1

Passport Requirements:

Original, signed passport valid for 6 months beyond stay in Canada, with at least one blank passport page available for Canadian visa stamp. Amendment pages in the back of the passport are not suitable for Canadian visas.

2

Proof of Travel Arrangements:

Computer generated flight itinerary from the airline or travel agency or copy of airline tickets showing round trip travel to Canada including onward flight.

3

Proof of Sufficient Funds:

Evidence of sufficient funds to support stay in Canada and for return transportation.

Visa Validity:

The eTA is electronically linked to your passport and is valid for five years or until your passport expires, whichever comes first. This allows a visit Canada for up to six months or until the date prescribed by a border services officer on your arrival to Canada. If you need to stay in Canada longer, you must apply to extend your stay.

Non-refundable tickets or reservations should not be purchased until all visas and passports are secured and in your possession.
